  • Do I have to be a member of your church or a particular church to send my child to school there?
No, we have families from many different faith backgrounds. We share the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ from a Lutheran perspective. To learn more about what Lutherans believe please visit the Our Beliefs section at the About Us page.
  • Is your Kindergarten program full day or half day?
We offer a full day Kindergarten which prepares our students for first grade success.
  • What are the class sizes?
Class size varies by grade. The student/faculty is 11-1
  • Does curriculum meet state standards?
Yes. And in most cases exceeds them
  • Do your students wear uniforms?
Yes. Ramona Lutheran Christian School is a place for instruction and learning. The purpose of having a school dress code is to simplify the matter of student attire and place that issue in perspective with regard to the learning process. A dress code also promotes a sense of civility and equality among the students and encourages responsibility and self-discipline. Our principal and our faculty insist that each student be dressed in a way that will not hinder the educational process, that will promote a positive image among our students, and that will provide Christian witness to the community. Please visit the Dress Code/School Uniform section of our Family Handbook for more details.
  • Are your teachers credentialed?
All teachers have completed a teacher training program and have been credentialed by the state of California.

  • Does your school offer a hot lunch program?
Yes. Our lunch program is serviced through Ramona Family Naturals Market.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

RLCS accepts and acknowledges all the canonical books of the Old and New Testaments of the Holy Bible as the inspired, revealed, and inerrant Word of God, and accepts and acknowledges all the Symbolical Books of the Evangelical Lutheran Church as a true and sound exposition of Christian Doctrine taken from and in full agreement with the Holy Scriptures.

RLCS acknowledges, accepts and believes that all who have been brought to faith in Jesus Christ are commissioned by Him to preserve and extend the kingdom of God. This is done by proclaiming to all, in the most effective means possible, the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Through the Work of the Holy Spirit, this proclamation changes hearts and lives and brings victory and comfort to individuals who are declared totally and unconditionally righteous for Christ’s sake.

RLCS acknowledges, accepts, and believes that Holy Scripture gives guidance for our interrelationships and direction for our teaching, as herewith written:

The Statement of Faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe. For purposes of RLCS’s faith, doctrine, practice, policy, and discipline, our Church Pastor (and School Board) is RLCS’s final interpretive authority on the Bible’s meaning and application.

Finally, as we seek to do God’s will in all our teaching and learning, we profess our belief and acceptance of the words of Christ in Revelation 2:10, which state, "Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life,” which is life in heaven with Jesus for all eternity. This is most certainly true!
